How to use gothic / blackletter text

Is this the same as Old English font?
Visually, yes โ 'Old English', blackletter, and Fraktur all describe this medieval lettering style. These are Unicode Fraktur characters, so they copy-paste anywhere.
Why do C, H, I, R and Z look special?
Those uppercase Fraktur letters are reserved in a different Unicode block, so they're substituted individually to complete the set.
Does gothic / blackletter text work on every letter and number?
Not all of them. In this generator, capital and small letters all convert, but numbers have no gothic form and stay plain.
